Westminster’s 2025 Annual Conference
THE COUNCIL OF NICAEA: ATHANASIUS AGAINST THE WORLD
23–25 October 2025, Newcastle
Athanasius declared himself willing to die rather than deny the deity of Christ. In 325AD the church met in Nicaea, modern day Turkey, to discuss the nature of Jesus, His origin, and His relation to God the Father.
Join us on the seventeenth centenary of the Council of Nicaea as we consider how the Nicene Creed impacted the early church—and shapes our lives today.
With addresses from leading pastor-theologians about the historical, systematic and practical theology contained within the Nicene Creed, interactive seminars and warm fellowship, this conference presents a wonderful opportunity to deepen your understanding and consider the significance of Nicaea in shaping the foundations of the Christian faith.
