MISSION AND DISTINCTIVES
Westminster prepares leaders to hold fast the faithful Word and proclaim Christ to the ends of the earth

OUR VISION
TO SEE CHRIST’S CHURCH REVIVED AND REFORMED IN ITS PASSION FOR GOD’S GLORY
We long to see Christ-centred churches, the gospel proclaimed in every nation, and God glorified to the ends of the earth.
OUR MISSION
TO PREPARE LEADERS WHO WILL HOLD FAST THE FAITHFUL WORD
The need is great: within the UK and across Europe, there are empty, churches without shepherds, communities without the gospel.
We exist to meet this need by preparing faithful leaders who hold fast the faithful Word and proclaim it wherever Christ calls them.

‘HOLDING FAST THE FAITHFUL WORD’
Titus 1:9 underlies our approach to equipping shepherds of Christ’s flock.
We teach men to make God’s true, faithful and eternal Word foundational to everything they do.

OUR DISTINCTIVES
JOYFULLY CONFESSIONAL
Rooted in truth
We affirm the Bible as the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and we uphold the Westminster Confession as a faithful summary of its doctrines and a clear vision for Christian life and ministry. This brings a happy unity and consistency to the teaching of our faculty across all the theological disciplines. Our confidence in our Confessional heritage defines our convictions, roots us in the historic Reformed and Presbyterian tradition, and enables us to teach with warmth, humility and grace any student who loves Christ and longs to serve His Church.
CATHOLIC
SPIRITED
Serving Christ’s Church
Christ has but one Church, one bride, purchased by His blood and beautiful in His eyes. All who are united to Him are united also to one another and therefore bound, as the Confession says, to ‘maintain an holy fellowship and communion in the worship of God, and in performing such other spiritual services as tend to their mutual edification’. We strive to hold our convictions with humility and express them with grace, teaching differing views fairly to foster respectful, inquisitive discussion.
FULFILLING THE GREAT COMMISSION
Proclaiming Christ everywhere
We exist to equip men to go and make disciples of all nations, holding fast the faithful Word in reliance on the Spirit. We long to cultivate compassion in our students for lost men and women, so that they might reach them by planting faithful churches which declare the whole counsel of God. This is the heartbeat of our seminary: to prepare ministers to proclaim Christ everywhere.
