We are proud to be a partner institution of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (GPTS), which carries a deserved reputation for biblical orthodoxy, academic rigour and the pursuit of piety. Westminster delivers degree programmes in partnership with GPTS, using its curriculum and academic standards. Degrees are awarded by GPTS, which is accredited by the Association of Reformed Theological Seminaries (ARTS).

  • Our partnership with Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary

Whilst Westminster Seminary UK is an independent theological institution with its own governance, administration, admissions, teaching and finance, we enjoy an 'articulation agreement’ with Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (GPTS) in the United States.

Eligible Westminster students may apply for admission to GPTS degree programmes. Under the MDiv/BDiv partnership, students may complete up to 50% of their degree coursework through Westminster, with at least 50% completed directly through or under the auspices of GPTS. A similar partnership operates for the GPTS MA, and Westminster students may also apply for the GPTS ThM.

Degrees completed through these partnerships are GPTS degrees. GPTS is accredited by the Association of Reformed Theological Seminaries (ARTS).

Westminster Seminary UK is separately accredited by the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC), and currently holds Premier Institution status. ASIC accreditation is an independent institutional quality-assurance process examining the standards and operation of education providers. It does not confer UK degree-awarding powers: Westminster's degree-awarding arrangements with GPTS are separate from its ASIC accreditation.
