New Trustee appointed

Westminster is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Donald John MacLean to its Board of Trustees.

An elder and regular preacher at Cambridge Presbyterian church, Donald John is married to Ruth and has two children, Hannah and Jonathan. Donald John is a trustee of the Banner of Truth Trust and of Tyndale House, Cambridge, and editor of Foundations, the theological journal of Affinity. In rare moments of down time, he can be found up to his waist in cold water, fly fishing in his beloved Scottish Highlands!

Donald John brings significant financial and business experience to the Board, but as his Twitter account announces, he is “first and last a Christian.” A passion for the glory of God in the salvation of sinners pulses through his latest book, All Things are Ready, published by Christian Focus last month.

Jonathan Winch, Westminster’s director, commented, “Donald John is particularly respected for his emphasis on the fullness and freeness of the gospel, and his appointment upholds Westminster’s insistence on pastor-theologians for Board and classroom. We’re particularly delighted that, alongside his leadership as a trustee, DJ will personally contribute to our students’ education and training as adjunct professor of history.”
