Wesley

Wesley is married to Lisa, and they have two boys. Until recently he balanced a demanding combination of working for HMRC, pastoring a small church, evangelising on the streets of Newcastle, and studying part-time at Westminster. It became clear that this pace was unsustainable, and he was unable to give each responsibility the attention it deserved.

In the Lord’s kindness, an opportunity opened for Wesley’s church to merge into Newcastle Reformed Evangelical Church, where he now serves as an intern. He is able to study full-time, continue his passion for street evangelism, and preach regularly—usually twice a month, once at NREC and once at their revitalisation work in Winlaton.

Wesley’s long-term desire is to serve as a pastor within a local church, particularly one in need of revitalisation or, in time, through church planting. He hopes to give himself to evangelism, faithful preaching, pastoral care, and shepherding God’s people with clarity and compassion. He sees this season of training as preparation for a lifetime of ministry that builds up the church and strengthens believers.

He remains convinced that Westminster Seminary UK offers the depth, resources, and godly faculty needed to prepare him well. He continues to trust the Lord to guide his steps as he pursues this calling.
