Andy

Andy is 33 and married to Lizzie. They have 3 children: Olivia, aged 7, Sofia, aged 4 and Matthew, aged 2.

He trained as a doctor at King's College London from 2010-2016. During his studies he was an active member of a central London evangelical church, as well as the University's Christian Union. During this time, he was encouraged to consider ministry further.

He moved to Cheltenham after completing his medical degree, where he has practised medicine for 9 years.

Over this time, he has felt an increasing call to ministry and with the support of his church family and eldership (at Whaddon Road Evangelical Presbyterian Church) has begun ministerial training at Westminster Seminary UK, part-time, whilst working as a doctor two days a week. He is under care of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of England and Wales (EPCEW) and preaches at Whaddon Road semi-regularly, as well as at other local evangelical churches.

Since starting his theological studies, he has loved the depth and richness of the course at Westminster, and so felt an increasing desire to focus solely upon his ministerial training. He is seeking to study on a full-time basis, through an internship at his church, with the help of the Knox scholarship.

His prayer and desire is to leave medicine and serve as a Minister of a Presbyterian church in the UK, after completing his training, God-willing.

If you would like to support Andy, please consider giving to the Knox Scholarship Fund.
