Jonathan
My name is Jonathan. I am married to Carmen, and we have two wonderful little boys, one aged three and the other just one month old. I moved to the UK from South Africa in 2001 and settled in Huddersfield, where I grew up in the church. From an early age I was involved in church life, and as I became increasingly aware of God’s call to pastoral ministry, I began looking for theological training that would help me handle the Bible faithfully. In God’s kindness, that search led us to Westminster Seminary UK.
I am currently studying full time while also working and serving as a ministry intern in my local church. This season has been both joyful and stretching as I seek to balance demanding theological study, the everyday realities of ministry, and a busy family life. Through it all, the Lord has been teaching me a great deal.
Looking ahead, my hope, Lord willing, is to continue serving in my local church, helping to strengthen and build it up through the gifts God has given me. I also hope, in time, to pursue further study by completing a ThM, so that I can grow deeper in my understanding of God’s Word and better serve God’s people.
My family and I are deeply thankful for Westminster Seminary UK and for the way the Lord has brought us here. We trust him to continue guiding us as this journey unfolds.
